The preseason, which runs from April 25-May 3 is an opportunity for newly-drafted rookies to get a taste for playing at the next level. Several stars who were drafted in the WNBA's first round are getting valuable minutes, like the Atlanta Dream's Madina Okot, the Washington Mystics' Lauren Betts and the Minnesota Lynx's Olivia Miles.Â
The Indiana Fever's No. 10 overall pick, former South Carolina Gamecock Raven Johnson, is set to take on fellow rookie Azzi Fudd and the Dallas Wings in the preseason on Thursday night. During the Fever's preseason game against the New York Liberty on April 25, Johnson played 17 minutes. She finished her Fever debut with six points and eight assists.Â
