South Carolina snapped its three-game skid with an 85-76 home victory over Oklahoma at Colonial Life Arena on Tuesday night. The Gamecocks came out hot, jumping on an early 11-0 run and refusing to surrender control. They led wire-to-wire and showed a collective effort with all five starters scoring in double figures.

Key Drivers of the Win
Meechie Johnson found his groove, dropping 20 points, including clutch free throws down the stretch. Kobe Knox was efficient and assertive, adding his own 18 points and rebounding the ball hard. Elijah Strong set the tone of the game early and scored a total of 17 points. And the supporting cast stepped up with Miles Stute and Mike Sharavjamts each chipping in with 10.
South Carolina wasn’t perfect, and Oklahoma kept clawing back, trimming the lead to single digits more than once. But the Gamecocks kept enough answers ready, especially when it mattered with free throws late and timely buckets.
What This Means for the Gamecocks
South Carolina has had an up-and-down SEC grind so far this season, and breaking a skid with a balanced offensive attack tells you they’re not completely broken. This was a win that recalibrates focus heading into a tougher stretch of conference play.
The Gamecocks (11-8, 2-4 SEC) will travel to College Station to take on Texas A&M (14-4, 4-1 SEC) on Saturday, Jan. 24. It's another opportunity to build on momentum and show they belong in the gritty middle of the SEC race Tipoff is scheduled for 3:30 pm and the game will be streamed on the SEC Network.
