Lamont Paris just picked up a big-time addition out of the transfer portal for the South Carolina men's basketball team.

Utah transfer Mike Sharavjamts committed to the Gamecocks, as first reported Monday by ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

Sharavjamts (which is pronounced "shar-rahv-jomps") brings size, versatility, and stong ball-handling and shooting to the roster. He is originally from Mongolia but played basketball in high school in the United States. Last season, at Utah, Sharavjamts averaged 7.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

The 6-foot-9 guard has one year of eligibility left and made his official visit to Columbia over the weekend before making his final commitment to South Carolina over SMU, Mississippi State, and Butler.

South Carolina is Sharavjamts' fourth college stop, as he previously played at Dayton, San Francisco, and Utah. He is the fifth pick up out of the transfer portal this offseason for Paris as he continues to rebuild the Gamecocks' roster.
