This week, RotoWire unveiled its SEC Quarter Century Team, highlighting the top players in the Southeastern Conference who began their collegiate careers since 2000. Despite several worthy candidates from South Carolina football, there is only one former Gamecock that was worthy of a spot on the prestigious list. Former South Carolina legend Jadeveon Clowney was selected as one of the two EDGE defenders listed, joining Georgia All-American David Pollock. The full list of athletes for the team are listed below.

Adding Clowney to the SEC Quarter Century Team list comes as no surprise to Gamecock fans. During his time in Columbia, he was established himself as one of the most dominant pass rushers in SEC history. A two-time All-American, Clowney shattered school records and took home the 2012 Ted Hendricks Award as the nation's Best Defensive End. His impact during his time at South Carolina went far beyond stats. During Clowney's three season on campus, the Gamecocks went 11-2 each year, which was the most successful run in program history. With notorious plays like "The Hit," Clowney dominance helped propel him to the No. 1 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.
