The Gamecocks continue to build up their recruiting staff with the addition of Brian Bachman as the new Assistant Director of Player Personnel.

Bachman makes the move to Columbia after a stint at Oregon, where he was the Director of High School Recruiting. He worked his way up, starting in 2022 as a scouting assistant before moving into more prominent roles. Before his time there, Bachman got his start at Penn State in 2019 as a recruiting and specials teams intern. That is where he first crossed paths with current South Carolina Director of Player Personnel Darren Uscher, making the move to Carolina a bit of a reunion.

His addition comes during a time of transition for the Gamecocks. With longtime athletics director Ray Tanner officially stepped down last year and the new AD Jeremiah Donati taking the over this year, the reshuffling continues. And with Bachman's experience and SEC-style recruiting mindset could be another key piece in the evolution of South Carolina athletics.
