South Carolina Gamecock junior forward Chloe Kitts has been named SEC Co-Player of the Week for her outstanding performances in the last few games. She played a pivotal role in securing the SEC Championship for the Gamecocks for the regular season.
In the game against Ole Miss, Kitts became the only Gamecock to record a triple-double in an SEC game with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. Her outstanding performance in this game was followed by a double-double against the Kentucky Wildcats, contributing 12 points and 10 rebounds. In this game, she led the offense with six points to assist the Gamecocks in taking an eight-point lead into halftime before adding four points, four rebounds, and a blocked shot.
After winning the No. 1 seed via coin flip, the No. 5 Gamecocks will head to Greenville, S.C. for the SEC Tournament at the end of the week. They will play in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 7, at noon on ESPN and FuboTV.
