The South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball team soared to a resounding 74-57 victory over the Texas Longhorns on Friday night in the Final Four matchup. The Longhorns came out with guns blazing, however the Gamecocks, true to their fighting spirit, clawed back to level the score by the end of the first quarter.
After the half, the Gamecocks dominated the court, leaving the Longhorns in their wake. Te-Hina Paopao led the charge with 14 points, while freshman sensation Joyce Edwards dazzled with a double-double, racking up 13 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Even the bench was on fire, adding 35 points and reaffirming the team's status as the nation's top-scoring reserves.
