South Carolina Women's Basketball Coach Dawn Staley has announced the upcoming release of her biography, "Uncommon Favor: Basketball, North Philly, My Mother and the Life Lessons I Learned from All Three." Set to be published in May, you can preorder the book here.

The book chronicles Staley's journey from her early days in North Philadelphia to her illustrious career as a player and coach. The biography delves into the pivotal moments and influential figures that have shaped her life and career.

Writing a book is a significant undertaking, one that Staley had previously postponed.

"First, I grew weary of people asking me," Staley remarked on Friday when discussing the timing of her book. "Second, I needed to do it before I forgot everything, and third, the season we had last year made me truly grateful for what I describe as an uncommon favor or career."

Staley expressed that the book is an opportunity to honor those who have supported her and to share the lessons she's learned about leadership and perseverance. "Uncommon Favor" will be available for pre-order and is scheduled for release on May 20.
