On December 30, 2024, the South Carolina Gamecocks men’s basketball team secured a 69-59 victory over the Presbyterian Blue Hose at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. This win extended the Gamecocks’ winning streak to seven games, improving their season record to 10-3.
The Gamecocks faced challenges early on, trailing by 10 points in both halves. Presbyterian led 32-24 at halftime, with Kory Mincy contributing significantly to the Blue Hose’s offense, scoring 27 points in the game. 
South Carolina’s comeback was spearheaded by sophomore forward Collin Murray-Boyles, who scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half and grabbed nine rebounds. Nick Pringle added 14 points and six rebounds, while Jamarii Thomas contributed 10 points and six assists.
A pivotal moment occurred with the game tied at 50 and 6:35 remaining. The Gamecocks launched a decisive 19-9 run, fueled by strong defense and effective scoring, to secure the win. South Carolina dominated the interior, outscoring Presbyterian 34-20 in the paint and outrebounding them 33-23. This physical advantage was instrumental in overcoming the early deficits.
This victory concluded South Carolina’s non-conference schedule on a high note as they prepare to face No. 17 Mississippi State in their Southeastern Conference opener on January 4, 2025. The Gamecocks aim to maintain their momentum against a formidable opponent. Meanwhile, Presbyterian will return home to play Longwood on Thursday a Big South Conference opener.
