South Carolina hosted its Pro Day on Tuesday, and one former Gamecock defensive back put up some big numbers. While Pro Day 40-yard dash times are hand-timed, South Carolina released some numbers Tuesday afternoon after the morning workouts.

One time that stood out was projected second-rounder Brandon Cisse, who posted a 4.40 time, per the official workout results released by South Carolina. Cisse dd not run the 40 at the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this month, so this was big for him. He showed off some serious speed:

According to the school, a total of 57 front office executives, coaches and scouts were on-hand at Tuesday's Pro Day.

Here are some other results from Cisse's workout on Tuesday:

  • Shuttle Run drill: 4.33 seconds
  • Height: 5-11 1/2
  • Weight: 189
  • Arms: 31 3/8
  • Hands: 8 1/2
  • Wingspan: 75 3/4

Cisse did not re-do his broad or vertical jumps, keeping his measurements from the Combine of 10 feet,11 inches and 41 inches, respectively.

While most consensus mock drafts have Cisse going in the second round, he is gaining some serious momentum heading into next month's draft. In fact, in Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest mock draft released on Tuesday, he likes the Kansas City Chiefs getting Cisse with their No. 29 overall pick.

"I teased it earlier, but the Chiefs can't really afford to leave Round 1 without a CB," Kiper wrote. "I had them going with Rueben Bain Jr. at No. 9, but this pick then has to be about the cornerbacks room, as Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson and Joshua Williams are all gone. Kansas City has signed only Kader Kohou so far to replenish the position.

"Cisse showed off his explosiveness at the combine, jumping 41 inches in the vertical. He anticipates and closes well, with 12 pass breakups over the past two seasons. He could slide right in to the starting lineup."

One other team represented was the Houston Texans, who sent general manager Nick Caseiro. Cisse discussed how cool it was having the GM at his Pro Day:

With the NFL draft roughly five weeks away, there's no question that more first-round predictions could come in for Cisse. The Gamecock defensive back finished his junior season at South Carolina with 27 total tackles, an interception and one forced fumble with five passes defended.
