The University of South Carolina and Blanchard Machinery, headquartered in Columbia, announced a historic five-year partenrship extension that will bring the company's name front and center on game day, literally. Beginning with the 2025 home opener in September, fans will see the Blanchard CAT and Blanchard Rental logos displayed at both 25-yard lines. This marks the first time an on-field logo will be featured at South Carolina. It will serve as a visible symbol of the company's deep connections with Gamecock athletics and the state of South Carolina.

The alumni-led company, run by brothers Boyd and Rozier Blanchard, will also play a key role in funding the upcoming stadium renovations. Phase one of the project, set for completion prior to the 2027 season, will include enhancements to both the West and East sides of Williams-Brice Stadium along with new, premium seating options.

Athletics director Jeremiah Donati called the partnership a "meaningful step forward" during a press conference on Monday. “Blanchard is a locally owned, alumni-led company that believes in the future of Gamecock Athletics,” Donati said. “Their investment will help us enhance the game day experience for our fans, create better facilities for our student-athletes, and continue building something special in Columbia.”
Rozier Blanchard, the Executive VP and CCO, explained how this partnership with the university represents a personal commitment, “As Gamecock alumni and lifelong South Carolinians, we feel a responsibility to give back to the community that’s supported us for generations,” he said. “Seeing our logo on the field is an incredible honor, but it’s also about investing in the future of the University and the state.”
President and CEO Boyd Blanchard added that the partnership is about far more than just visibility. “Our relationship with USC goes back decades,” he said. “This is about supporting the dreams of student-athletes, improving facilities for fans, and contributing to the success of South Carolina both on and off the field.”
Beyond the field branding, Blanchard will continue to sponsor programs and provide support against multiple sports, as well as participate in the Gamecocks' Student-Athlete Development Program. The company will offer internships, post-grad employment, and career development workshops, while maintaining its sponsorship presence across football, basketball, and baseball.
The Blanchard logos will be visible on national broadcasts, social media, and to all the fans at the South Carolina Gamecock Football home games, marking an era for branding and partnerships at Williams-Brice Stadium.
