After the 2025 NFL draft ended, South Carolina senior linebacker Bam Martin-Scott realized a life-long dream. He signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted agent on Saturday night, according to Gamecock Central's Mike Uva.
Martin-Scott brings a strong combination of athleticism and size to the Panthers' linebacker group. His versatility of stopping the run, rushing the passer, and dropping into coverage, will be a key advantage for the Panthers if he lands a full-time roster spot.
A Gamecock since 2021, Martin-Scott's road to South Carolina started at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. After two seasons, he transferred to Columbia. By the end of spring, he was named South Carolina's Most Improved Player on the defense.
As a sixth-year veteran on the squad, Martin-Scott became a key player for the Gamecocks' defense last season. He played in all 13 games, made six starts, and finished the season with 67 tackles, including nine tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. His performance earned him an honorable mention All-SEC.
For his final performance in garnet and black, Martin-Scott recorded two tackles for loss and a sack against in-state rival, Clemson.
