South Carolina is 3-3 on the season and is in desperate need of a win. The Gamecocks have lost three games to ranked opponents, and the only teams they have beaten are Akron, Old Dominion, and Kentucky. The win against Kentucky seemed big as the Gamecocks had a big 31-6 over a Kentucky defense that almost took down the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Gamecocks are going to travel to Norman, Oklahoma, for the first time ever to take on new SEC foe Oklahoma, who joined the conference over the summer. After the tough loss to Alabama, a game the Gamecocks let slip away, head coach Shane Beamer and his squad desperately need a win so as not to fall below .500, especially before welcoming ranked Texas A&M next week for homecoming.

The Oklahoma Sooners are also coming off a tough loss to No. 1 Texas this past week so both teams are in search of a win to get back on track. The Gamecocks will hope to continue some of the offensive success they had against Alabama along with the terrific defensive play they have had throughout the season.
