With the 2024 regular season officially in the books, now is the time when awards are given and players are named to all-conference teams. Among the SEC, to be named to an All-SEC team, whether it is first, second, or third, is an honor.

South Carolina had a solid season this year, even with the ups and downs they faced. Redshirt freshman quarterback LaNorris Sellers led the offense to a six-game win streak and Kyle Kennard and Dylan Stewart were the book-ends of an elite defensive line that was ranked third in the SEC this season.

All-SEC First Team

  • EDGE Kyle Kennard
  • DB Nick Emmanori
  • P Kai Kroeger

All-SEC Second Team

  • RB Raheim Sanders

All-SEC Third Team

  • QB LaNorris Sellers
  • OL Torricelli Simpkins III

Kennard and Nick Emmanwori were the veteran leaders for the defense this season, and both put together the best seasons of their college careers. Kennard led the SEC in sacks with 11.5 and tackles for loss with 16 and was top 10 in the nation in both of those categories. Emmanwori had four interceptions and returned two of them for touchdowns. Kai Kroeger was a great punter for the Gamecocks, consistently setting opposing offenses back in order to help the defense work.

Even though he dealt with injury throughout the season, Raheim "Rocket" Sanders still had a breakout year in his first season with the Gamecocks. Sanders still put up 881 rushing yards, 11 rushing touchdowns, 316 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns this season.

Sellers had a phenomenal season in his first year as a starter, with 2,275 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Even with missing a game and a half and dealing with the ankle injury for a few games, Sellers still put up great numbers, especially for such a young player. Torricelli Simpkins was rated as one of the top offensive linemen on an o-line that was crucial for Sellers' success.
