A'Ja Wilson just might be the most famous former South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball player making history with USC by helping bring home their first-ever National Championship. The legendary center has also made waves in the WNBA by being a three-time WNBA MVP and a two-time WNBA Champion with the Las Vegas Aces.

Wilson has just made history yet again as she just inked a major deal with Nike to give her one of the richest shoe deals for a women's basketball player.

The Las Vegas Aces star signed a six-year contract extension and the deal will put her in the same breath as Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, Southern Cal star JuJu Watkins adn New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu.

Back in May, Wilson became one of Nike's signature athletes, and it was announced that Wilson would launch her own signature show named the "A'One," which is set to release in 2025 just before the WNBA season starts.

The 2024 year has been a big one for Wilson, starting with signing with Nike and ending with winning her third WNBA MVP award to put her in elite company with Lauren Jackson, Sheryl Swoopes, and Lisa Leslie, the only women to ever win the award three times. Wilson was also the unanimous MVP this season, making her the first since Cynthia Cooper back in 1997.

Even though the Aces were unable to secure the three-peat this season, Wilson still had a big year, breaking the league's single-season scorings and rebounding records, and was the first player to record 1,000 points in a single season.

To top it all off, Wilson added to the trophy cases by winning her second Olympic gold medal at the Paris Olympics, another competition in which she took home the MVP award.

Wilson has truly cemented herself as the best former South Carolina women's basketball player and just continues to build her brand and her career.
