South Carolina had a lot of recruits who had their official visit this weekend as the Gamecocks trounced the Wofford Terriers this past weekend. Even though South Carolina was playing an FCS team, they still needed a convincing win not just for their College Football Playoff resume, but also to show out for the recruits in the stands.

One recruit in the stands decided to release who his top teams were in the middle of his visit to Columbia and the Gamecocks a part of his top five.

Gordon Sellars, a wide receiver out of Charlotte, North Carolina, seems to want to stay fairly close to home as his top five are South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia, and UNC, and the outlier is Michigan to round it out.

Sellars has not made any commitments during his recruitment and by narrowing it down to five schools, it feels like there could be an announcement soon. It seems like the place Sellars is leaning to most is UNC as he would be close to home, but South Carolina is very much in the mix after his visit this weekend.

After the Gamecocks took down Wofford on Saturday night, Sellars made a post to X (formally known as Twitter) saying he had an amazing time in Columbia and posted a picture with his family and head coach Shane Beamer.

Sellars is a four-star recruit according to 247Sports and is ranked as the 16th-best wide receiver in the state of North Carolina and the 40th-best wide receiver in the Class of 2026.

South Carolina has only three commits in their Class of 2026, and they don't have any wide receiver commits, so getting Sellars could be huge for the Beamer and the Gamecocks to continue building the class, as this is the time to get guys in the building.
