South Carolina football fans are not satisfied with the way the 2023 season went. The Gamecocks finished the year 5-7 and missed out on a bowl game for the first time in the Shane Beamer era.

The Carolina defense was among the worst in the country until a late-season formational shift away from the 4-2-5 and into the 3-3-5, and the offense was up-and-down all season but finished on a definite down note.
