South Carolina baseball brought in a top-10 2024 recruiting class during the early signing period (which is still ongoing), and those current high school seniors now know when they will get the chance to watch their future team take on their future rival next spring.

On Wednesday, Clemson baseball announced its 2024 schedule, and because the Tigers and Gamecocks play every season, that schedule included USC. South Carolina baseball has not yet announced their full schedule (just the SEC slate has been revealed), so Clemson’s schedule drop was the first glimpse at the 2024 rivalry series for Gamecock fans.

The two Palmetto State programs will face off on the opening weekend of March from Friday, March 1st to Sunday, March 3rd. Flip-flopping from last season’s format, the first game of the three-game slate will be at Founders Park in Columbia, while Game 3 will take place at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson.

Television and game times have not been confirmed.

The middle game on Saturday will be on a neutral field, but the exact Fluor Field in Greenville (home park of the Greenville Drive), Segra Park in Columbia (Columbia Fire Flies home park), and Riley Park in Charleston (home of the Charleston River Dogs), but Greenville has been the most common neutral-site location in the series.

South Carolina baseball won last year’s three-game series despite losing Game 1 in Clemson and getting behind early in Game 2 in Greenville. Game 3 was a bit lopsided as the YardCocks took care of business 7-1.

Both South Carolina and Clemson made it to the NCAA Tournament as Regional hosts. However, Clemson, who would have hosted a Super Regional with a win, lost in their home Regional, while the Gamecocks advanced to take on the Florida Gators in the Super Regional round before ending their season two wins shy of the College World Series.
