South Carolina Football vs. Texas A&M:
The Injury Report

  • Starters Juice Wells, Ahmarean Brown, Jaylen Nichols, Cason Henry, and Vershon Lee remained out for this game. Tree Babalade was questionable heading into the game and was available, but he did not play until the second half (Jakai Moore moved to left guard) when Trai Jones left the game with an injury.
  • Xavier Legette played but couldn’t get anything going. It is unclear if he was still bothered by the injury that knocked him out of the Missouri game last week. After a play in the 4th quarter, he was limping heavily with an ankle issue.
  • Bryan Thomas, Jr. suffered a gruesome-looking finger injury on the second drive of the game. However, he would return to the game.
  • Trai Jones left the game in the 3rd quarter with an injury. He couldn’t bear any weight on his left leg and was taken to the locker room on a cart. Coach Beamer said it was a “high ankle sprain.”
    • Tree Babalade, who was also hurt, came in at left tackle, and Jakai Moore moved inside to left guard to replace Jones.
  • Marcellas Dial got banged up in the 2nd half but returned to action.
  • Trey Knox injured his hamstring running a route in the 3rd quarter. He did not return.
  • Mario Anderson left the game with a shoulder issue. He came back in later on the drive.
