South Carolina football fans have not had a quality product to watch on the field during the 2023 season. Outside of the play of individuals like Spencer Rattler, Xavier Legette, Mario Anderson, Jalon Kilgore, and TJ Sanders, Saturdays have been more frustrating than enjoyable for Gamecock Nation.
The 2-5 garnet and black squad will have a hard time avoiding 2-6 this weekend with a tough road test against Texas A&M next up on the country’s most difficult schedule. The Gamecocks and Aggies will play at 12:00 in College Station on the SECNetwork and ESPN app.
Next weekend’s game is a game which the Gamecocks will win. One can say that with confidence because both teams involved in the contest are nicknamed the Gamecocks.
South Carolina football will take on the “other Gamecocks” of Jacksonville State on November 4th, but now, fans know when the game will be played.
On Monday, the SEC and the University of South Carolina announced the kickoff time and broadcast information for the all-Gamecock battle. At Williams-Brice Stadium, South Carolina football and Jacksonville State will play at 12:00, and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU and the ESPN app.
The game against JSU will mark a return home for a Carolina team that will have played its two longest road trips in back-to-back weeks against Missouri (a 34-12 loss this past Saturday) and Texas A&M (a game in which USC opened as a 14-point underdog).
Gamecock fans will be glad for the team to return home but hope that it will not be too late for them to salvage bowl eligibility out of what has become a very tough 2023 season.
South Carolina will play all four of its November games at home in Williams-Brice. No kick times or television information has been made available yet for those matchups.
