The South Carolina football coaching staff has dished out a lot of scholarship offers over the last week or so. Across multiple recruiting classes, players from South Carolina and players from across the country have picked up Gamecock offers in recent days. A large portion of these new offers have been to players on the offensive side of the football.

One newly offered player is Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School product Marshall Pritchett. Pritchett, a Charleston-area native, is a combo tight end/wide receiver who is a 3-star prospect with a high ceiling.

Built similarly to South Carolina football legend Hayden Hurst when he came out of high school, Pritchett stands 6’5″ and 215 pounds and has a future as an athletic tight end at the college level as he adds strength to his frame. He projects to be a capable receiver and blocker.

The class of 2025 prospect formerly attended Porter-Gaud School in the Palmetto State but transferred to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee where he has continued having success despite playing an uptick in competition.

Matt DeBary of PrepRedzone calls Pritchett one of his Georgia high school prospects who is “on the rise,” projecting the talented pass-catcher to keep improving.

Based on Pritchett’s social media activity, his recruitment is still wide open, but the South Carolina football offer appears to be one of his favorites.

Pritchett’s older brother Lawson is a safety/linebacker prospect in the class of 2024 who has several lower-level FBS scholarship offers.

The younger Pritchett will be taking an unofficial visit this Saturday to Columbia to check out the South Carolina football program when the Gamecocks take on the Florida Gators.

He will be on campus at the same time as fellow class of 2025 target Ryan Montgomery (4-star quarterback), 2024 Auburn decommitment Jalewis Solomon (4-star athlete), and 2024 target and Southern Cal commit Kameryn Fountain (4-star EDGE).
