South Carolina Football: 5 players who should play more this weekend

South Carolina Football players who could play more against Furman:
Wide Receiver Nyck Harbor
Nyckoles Harbor is a physical freak. At 6’5″ and 240 pounds, Harbor also has Olympic-caliber sprint speed, making him a unique specimen at the wide receiver position. However, he is new to the position, and he missed some of fall camp with injury, so Harbor did not play as much against North Carolina as many fans hoped he would.
Harbor is technically listed on the depth chart as Juice Wells’ backup, but when Wells exited the UNC game, he was not the first man up in the rotation as O’Mega Blake got more snaps. However, Blake had a crucial holding penalty against him that negated a first down, and he gave up on a deep ball from Spencer Rattler that he would have been in position to catch if he just kept running.
Though Wells has said he would play without limitation this weekend, because of his recent injury concern, fans should expect him to be utilized less frequently than he was last season. Can Harbor, now a week healthier and a week more experienced at wide receiver, overtake Blake for snaps? It could happen.
Because the Gamecocks are playing a Furman team that is physically overmatched (Furman is very good, however), someone with the unique athletic ability of Nyck Harbor could be a bigger part of the game plan anyway.
