South Carolina Football: The Gamecocks are undefeated all-time against these teams

South Carolina football is undefeated against these more local programs
Florida Atlantic: The Gamecocks proved to be the superior fowl when they knocked off the Owls in 2006 and 2009. Sidney Rice also set an SEC record with 5 touchdown receptions in the ‘06 contest.
UAB: South Carolina and UAB had never played until 2003, but the two teams played three times in ten years, all of them blowout Gamecock victories.
Georgia State: The only game between Carolina and Georgia State was last season’s opener. Former Gamecock offensive line coach Shawn Elliott (head coach), former Gamecock defensive tackle Andrew Provence (chaplain), and former Gamecock defensive back Jamyest Williams (running back) all wore blue that night, but garnet and black prevailed in the end.
Middle Tennessee State: On a hot day in Williams-Bruce Stadium in 2006, the Gamecocks whooped the Blue Raiders, and Cory Boyd had one of the most impressive run-after-catch plays in recent memory.
UNC-Charlotte: Sometimes just known as “Charlotte,” the 49ers traveled to Columbia for the first time in 2022. The Gamecocks did not play their best ball but outclassed the program from just up I-77 by over 30 points anyway.
South Alabama: In what was a lower-scoring game than expected, one of Steve Spurrier’s top offenses in 2014 only scored 37 points against USA (great abbreviation, right?!). The defense, though, stifled the Jaguars to win big.
Troy: Troy has brought a few good groups to Columbia to try to knock off the Gamecocks, but they’ve never successfully pulled off the upset. A few other SEC programs have fallen at the hands of the Trojans, but the Gamecocks are 4-0 in the matchup.
