South Carolina Football’s No. 8 NFL Career Earner:
Cornerback Dunta Robinson

Dunta Robinson followed Sheldon Brown in a long line of shutdown corners on the outside of the Gamecock defense. Another hard-hitting secondary player, Robinson was a first-round pick of the Houston Texans early in the history of the expansion franchise.

Robinson and fellow Gamecock cornerback Johnathan Joseph never played together with the Texans, but the two defenders combined for a decade-long stretch of great corner play in Houston in the late 2000s through the mid-2010s.

Robinson’s career earnings are harder to nail down to an exact figure as he signed his first contract before the 2006 CBA that required full contract transparency, but he made about $49 Million in his excellent career despite two separate contract restructurings and a release from the Atlanta Falcons.
