South Carolina Football: Ranking the highest-paid NFL Gamecocks of all-time

South Carolina Football’s No. 2 NFL Career Earner:
Outside Linebacker/Defensive End Melvin Ingram
Melvin Ingram is one of just six South Carolina football alums to make three or more Pro Bowls (Tom Addison, Sterling Sharpe, John Abraham, Jadeveon Clowney, and Stephon Gilmore are the others), so it comes as no surprise that he is also one of the richest men to ever have come through the Gamecock program.
Ingram has been a very good pass rusher in the NFL for a long time and had a bit of a career rebirth in 2022 after the 2021 season made it look as if he was almost on his way out of football. Ingram is currently a free agent but is expected to sign a contract prior to the 2023 season getting underway, especially after a strong season in 2022.
Big Melvin transitioned well from a full-time defensive lineman in college to a role as a hybrid defensive end/outside linebacker in the NFL, and his bank account is happier because of it. Ingram has brought in $89 Million with the chance to add to it with another contract or two likely in his future.
