The South Carolina football program is among the best in the nation in terms of fan experience. In addition to an ever-improving gameday experience (one that is only going to get better even more after the completion of the “Stadium Project” renovation and improvement plan), the Gamecocks have one of the country’s best media departments and

A new way that South Carolina football (and many other programs across college football) are looking to improve fan experience is through AI. Artificial intelligence-powered Context LLM Response System is a conversational artificial intelligence platform created by Satisfi Labs. Over two dozen major college athletic departments have recently become Satisfi Labs clients, including the University of South Carolina.

The goal of the Context LLM Response System is to provide fans an easy way to have their questions answered. Instead of calling the athletic department or scouring online search engines like Google, South Carolina football fans will be able to ask the new “chatbots” online.

According to On3’s Eric Prisbell, the chatbots will be available on each team’s online website, and the athletic departments will be able to add relevant information and answers to potential questions in real time.

The AI technology is set to roll out over the next six weeks, just in time for the season to kick off against the North Carolina Tar Heels in Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium.

Fans will be able to submit questions to the chatbots, such as:

  • Are there still tickets available?
  • What is the television/broadcast information for the next game?
  • Where can I park around the stadium?
  • Does the stadium have a clear bag policy?
  • How can I purchase luxury seating?

and many more questions.

The AI technology will make necessary information surrounding South Carolina football considerably easier to access and, hopefully, much more efficient to obtain. It is unclear how much more can be added in the future.
