South Carolina Basketball’s 2023-2024 Injury Returner

Ebrima Dibba: Ebrima Dibba transferred to South Carolina from Coastal Carolina a year ago but missed the entire 2022-2023 season with an Achilles injury. If he is back to being himself next season, he can be an impactful player for the Gamecocks.

Dibba has played all over the court in his career from point guard all the way to power forward. He is very athletic, and at 6’6″ and 210 pounds, he is big enough and strong enough to defend many different types of players, though he sometimes struggles with defensive focus.

A potential weapon in transition, Dibba has very good foot speed and is one of the best passers on the team. He has averaged just over 5 rebounds and just under 5 assists per contest in his career while adding a little under 10 points.

Versatility is Dibba’s biggest asset. If he is fully ready physically after his return from injury, Dibba can earn a role in a variety of spots for the Gamecocks. Fans should expect his role to be one of a utility backup who can serve as an “understudy” at multiple positions with his length and multi-faceted offensive game.

You can watch some of his film linked above.
