South Carolina Football’s No. 13 Greatest NFL Player of All-Time:
Wide Receiver Alshon Jeffery

Alshon Jeffery (2009-2011) put up one of the best wide receiver seasons in SEC history as a sophomore in 2010 when he logged over 1500 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns for the SEC East champion Gamecocks. As a 2nd-round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2012, Jeffery entered the NFL with lofty expectations, and he did not disappoint.

After an injured rookie season, Jeffery exploded onto the professional scene with 2500 yards and 17 touchdowns in his second and third seasons in Chicago. Unfortunately, more injuries and a suspension limited him to just 20 games over the next two seasons before he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Still hampered a bit by injuries, Jeffery had two majorly productive years with the Eagles that included a huge performance in the Eagles Super Bowl LII Super Bowl victory. Jeffery hung on for two more seasons in Philadelphia before injuries ended his career after the 2020 season.
