South Carolina Football’s No. 20 Greatest NFL Player of All-Time:
Kicker Ryan Succop

One of the top kickers and punters in Gamecock history, Ryan Succop (2005-2008) was “Mr. Irrelevant” in the 2009 NFL Draft when he was the last player taken. Since then, whether it was with the Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, or Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Succop has been one of the top kickers in the league.

Succop had his best season with the Titans in 2016 when he only missed two field goals and had a touchback percentage over 70%.

2023 will be the first season in a long time without the former Gamecock leg cannon on an NFL team as Succop is expected to retire this offseason.
