South Carolina Basketball’s No. 10 Greatest Forward of All-Time:
Emmett Hall

A transfer from junior college, Emmett Hall (1992-1994) was one of just a few bright spots on some bad basketball teams during the head coaching transition from Steve Newton to Eddie Fogler and the Gamecocks’ transition into the SEC. Hall averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds in two seasons in Columbia and was selected both years as an All-SEC contributor.

While Jamie Watson and Carey Rich were good perimeter players, Hall was the only positive in the paint for the Gamecocks during those seasons. He was one of the best offensive players on the team, the best rebounder, and a very good defender who averaged over 1 steal and 1 block per game for his career. After completing his time in Columbia, Hall played overseas for a decade.
