South Carolina Basketball’s No. 15 Greatest Forward of All-Time:
Dominique Archie

Dominique Archie (2006-2010) could have been one of the best to ever play at South Carolina. The uber-athletic combo forward could do it all: he could shoot (career 35% 3-point shooter), he could score off the dribble (career 57% shooter on 2-pointers), he could rebound (averaged almost 6 boards), he could defend (made an All-SEC All-Defensive squad), and he was an elite athlete. Unfortunately, injuries were a huge part of Archie’s journey.

#21 missed his entire true freshman year with injuries. He bounced back and made the All-Freshman team in the SEC the following season as a redshirt freshman but played through other minor ailments. Two strong seasons followed (including an All-SEC nod as a junior), but Archie’s breakout campaign as a senior was cut short due to a knee injury that cost him all but five games of the year.

After recovering from his injury but being denied an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA, Archie played in the NBA D-League before heading overseas for a decade-long career that saw him win multiple championships.
