South Carolina Football’s No. 11 Greatest Offensive Performance of All-Time:
Jake Bentley and Deebo Samuel vs. Clemson

One of the most surprising offensive explosions in Gamecock history came against Clemson in 2018. Jake Bentley and Deebo Samuel were at the center of the outburst as the duo went off against the Clemson secondary. The Carolina signal caller threw for a record 510 yards and added 5 touchdowns which was tied for the all-time Gamecock record, as well.

Samuel, in his last chance to take on the Tigers, snagged 10 Bentley passes for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns. #1 was the most impressive player on the field in a game loaded with star power, but it wasn’t enough as the Gamecocks couldn’t match up with a superior Clemson roster.

The only knocks on the performance were an interception and the fact that some production came late in the game with Clemson playing prevent defense. Shi Smith also had a really nice day with 9 catches for 109 yards and a score.
