South Carolina Football’s No. 6 Greatest Offensive Performance of All-Time:
Kevin Harris vs. Ole Miss

In arguably the worst defensive performance in the history of South Carolina football, Gamecock running back Kevin Harris kept his team within striking distance with a monster performance. On 25 carries, Harris ate up 243 yards and scored an astonishing 5 touchdowns against the Rebels. Harris broke tackles, outran defenders, and seemingly hit every open running lane for offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.

Unfortunately, the Gamecock defense gave up over 700 yards of offense and 59 points to Lane Kiffin’s squad. Harris’ efforts gave USC a lead in the 4th quarter, but Ole Miss scored three touchdowns in a row to pull out the win in Oxford. Instead of the lasting memory of this matchup being the dominant performance of the SEC’s leading rusher in 2020, fans might remember most Rebel coach Lane Kiffin tossing his clipboard thirty feet in the air in celebration of his team’s unstoppable offense.
