South Carolina football kicks off its season 100 days from today with a neutral-site (Charlotte) contest against the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Gamecocks own the toughest schedule in all of college football, so the opening game test against the border rivals in blue could act as a litmus test of sorts for a South Carolina squad that is receiving a wide range of projections from both experts and non-experts all over the country.
Moving into the final 100 days without South Carolina football games, Carolina fans can almost hear the roar of the Williams-Brice Stadium crowd if they close their eyes. For fans to have a lot to cheer about this fall, the Gamecocks will need to have some players step up. Which players are most needed to take the leap in 2023?
