South Carolina Football’s Most Impressive 2023 Spring Performers:
Quarterback Spencer Rattler

One of the offseason’s top performances came from the most important position in the game. Quarterback Spencer Rattler had a great offseason and spring practice as he developed more as a leader and as a quarterback. Rattler attributed much of his offseason progression to being comfortable with his new offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains and his offensive system. Loggains, too, has noticed his signal caller’s comfortability in his offense and expects big things from #7 this fall.

Head coach Shane Beamer has mentioned multiple times how impressed he has been with Rattler’s ownership of the offense and the ways he’s stepped up as a leader. He was awarded the Joe Morrison Offensive Player of the Spring award for his work, and he enters the 2023 season with some of the highest expectations in the SEC.
