South Carolina Football’s No. 12 NFL Draft Success:
K Ryan Succop

Ryan Succop (Round 7, Pick 256, 2009 NFL Draft; Kansas City Chiefs) was the “Mr. Irrelevant” of the 2009 draft. After spending 2005-2008 knocking balls through the uprights in the SEC, Succop spent the first years of his NFL career with the Chiefs before having his best seasons with the Tennessee Titans. An injury ended his six-year run with the team, but he had a resurgence with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with three strong seasons. He is currently a free agent and considering retirement, but Succop’s great career was excellent value for the last pick of the draft.
