South Carolina Football’s No. 14 NFL Draft Success:
OL Travelle Wharton

Travelle Wharton (Round 3, Pick 94, 2004 NFL Draft; Carolina Panthers) was one of the best linemen to ever play at Carolina as he dominated opposing defensive lines from 2000-2003 in Columbia. He was a tackle in college out of necessity but slid inside to guard at the next level and had a very good career. Other than one season that he missed with an injury, Wharton’s high level of play lasted a decade, with nine of those seasons coming less than two hours from Columbia with the Carolina Panthers.
