South Carolina Football’s No. 9 Linebacker of All-Time:
TJ Brunson

A Columbia native, TJ Brunson (2015-2018) was originally committed to Louisville but flipped to his hometown program shortly before Signing Day. South Carolina football fans are sure glad he had a change of heart as Brunson went on to become one of the Gamecock program’s best linebackers.

After playing in a reserve role as a freshman, Brunson took over the Mike linebacker job and was a stud in the middle for three seasons. He led the team in tackles as a junior and senior and was selected as an All-SEC performer in his final campaign. After graduating, Brunson was drafted by the New York Giants and had a short NFL stint before a knee injury ended his career.
