The South Carolina football team will wrap up its 2022 recruiting efforts tomorrow with the conclusion of National Signing Day, but it’s never too early to start thinking about the future.

In December, the Gamecocks were able to secure a top 25 class, while also bringing in a group of notable transfers. In all, the class provides the program with the most decorated QB haul in school history.

This cycle should provide the team with a number of instant contributors. South Carolina’s transfer class is ranked No. 5 in the nation according to 24/7 Sports, headlined by Heisman trophy candidate Spencer Rattler. It also boasts immediate impact players at tight end, running back, wideout, and defensive line.

In the high school class, South Carolina could see players like Keenan Nelson and Anthony Rose jump right into the secondary rotation. Players like Stone Blanton and Landon Sampson have also seen their stock rise since signing with the Gamecocks.

With the class just about complete, the coaching staff is turning its attention to 2023. They’re hoping to land a very talented rusher who’s climbed up the South Carolina recruiting board over the last few weeks.

Jacksonville based running back Treyaun Webb recently received a ‘Crystal Ball’ prediction to make his pledge to the Gamecocks.

Webb is considered to be a four-star prospect and the sixth-best rusher in the class of 2023. He’s a top 150 player and one of the best talents in the Sunshine State.

Webb is currently considering the Gamecocks, along with Georgia, Oklahoma, and Southern Cal. He’s a track star that ran for more than 800 yards as a high school sophomore.

Football is engrained in Webb’s family. His cousin is former Florida CB Ed White, who played for the Jacksonville Jaguars. His grandfather was a wideout at Florida State in the 1980s.

The Gamecocks are hoping he’ll leave the state of Florida to join the South Carolina roster in 2023. Keep an eye on his recruitment over the next year.
