South Carolina football 2022 Early Signing Day player tracker

The South Carolina football program has set itself up for a nice Early Signing Day under first-year head coach Shane Beamer. Beamer arrived late to the party last season, being hired just a week before signing day. He was able to hold on to a few of the class’s top prospects, but this year is when we finally see his true recruiting abilities.
In his first full cycle, he has the 2022 class sitting at No. 12 in the nation according to Rivals. The Gamecocks just landed pledges from a pair of four-star linebackers over the weekend. Beamer’s also been able to pull in a few top transfers. Five-star quarterback Spencer Rattler announced his intention to play in Columbia earlier this week. All-conference tight end Austin Stogner is following him to give the Gamecocks a huge one-two punch on offense.
With South Carolina prepping for its first bowl game in three years, combined with the recent additions, there’s a ton of momentum surrounding the team this offseason. If all goes according to plan, this could truly be a program-changing class for Beamer and Co. With a surprise or two on signing day, it may wind up being a top 15 class.

Below is a complete list of early signees for the South Carolina football program. Transfers Spencer Rattler and Austin Stogner got the ball rolling, inking their signatures with the Gamecocks Tuesday night. The high school prospects are up next.
In all, the coaching staff is expecting National Letters of Intent from 21 verbal commitments. There could also be a surprise or two we don’t yet know about. Four-star quarterback commit Braden Davis was the first to sign. Delaware’s high school player of the year inked his NLI just after 7 AM.
