South Carolina football’s top performers

SPECIAL TEAMS – Parker White

Another easy selection for a player that’s been perfect through the first half of the year. Senior kicker Parker White has connected on each of his nine field goal attempts, as well as all 11 extra points. He leads the team in scoring with 38 points and has the potential to land Lou Groza Award honors should he keep this pace.

White ranks 15th in the nation with those nine field goal makes, and only three other players in the country boast a 100% conversion rate on at least nine attempts. He’s also been automatic in crunch time. Not only does White have a game winner to his name this season (ECU), he’s been a perfect 4-for-4 in the fourth quarter. That includes a season long of 54 yards in the matchup against Kentucky.

The super senior is taking full advantage of his final season in Columbia, and the Gamecocks are going to need him moving forward if they hope to pull out a few close wins. White is just 31 points away from overtaking Eliott Fry as the program’s all-time leading scorer. Another solid six games and he should reach that mark.
