HAN SOLO – KEVIN HARRIS

Han Solo is a cocky pilot that joins forces with the Rebel Alliance in an attempt to take down the Dark Side. He can be a bull in a china shop at times, but becomes a loveable hero and teammate to Luke Skywalker.

Harris is similar. Though he doesn’t possess a cocky attitude on the field, he knows that he’s one of the nation’s top running backs. Last year as a sophomore, the bruiser ran for 1,138 yards and 15 touchdowns on his way to an SEC regular season rushing crown.

Having little regard for his body, or the safety of opponents, Harris seeks out contact, typically winning his head-to-head battles over defenders. He will be an integral part of the South Carolina offense in 2021.

CHEWBACCA – JAZSTON TURNETINE

Chewbacca is Han Solo’s partner in crime, and co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon. Like Chewbacca, Turnetine is a massive individual, standing at 6-foot-7-inches tall, and weighing more than 330 pounds.

Another similarity is the fact that he was on a team prior to joining the Gamecocks, much like how Chewy teamed up with Han Solo prior to joining the Rebel Alliance. Turnetine came to South Carolina after an All-American JUCO career at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.

The offensive lineman will likely get a shot at tackle this year, where he’ll tasked with keeping Luke Doty upright in the pocket and opening  up holes for his teammate, Kevin Harris. The rising senior started three games for South Carolina in 2020, and he’ll look to build upon that experience in his final season.
