Two South Carolina football players landed in PFF’s top 100.

Two Gamecocks landed in Pro Football Focus’s initial list of top 100 draft eligible players ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft. One of those players has already announced his intention to pursue a professional career, while the other intends to return to Columbia for a final season.

Cornerback Jaycee Horn comes in at No. 24 on the list, after posting impressive numbers in his three seasons of work. Horn has been a starter in the secondary since the day he stepped foot on campus, and projects to be a first round selection this April.

Here’s what PFF had to say about the former Gamecock.

"Horn has the athleticism and mindset of a man corner at the NFL level — he’s not going to back down from anyone."

For his career, the talented corner totaled 101 tackles, 23 pass breakups, and a pair of interceptions. In seven games this year, he allowed only eight receptions to opposing pass catchers out of 24 targets.

His best game of 2020 came in the Gamecocks’ upset of No. 15 Auburn, where Horn picked off Tiger quarterback Bo Nix twice, nearly returning one for a score. He was named national player of the week for his efforts.

The second player on the list is pass rushing specialist Kingsley “JJ” Enagbare. The athletic defensive end ranks No. 61 on the list, after finishing second in the SEC with .75 sacks per game in 2020.

Enagbare recorded six sacks in seven games of action, while also forcing a league leading three fumbles. The rising senior opted to return for a final season in 2021, which is great news for a Carolina defense that’s in dire need of playmakers.

The NFL Draft is scheduled to take place from April 29 to May 1 in Cleveland, OH. The Gamecocks have had a player taken in the first round of the event in two of the last three seasons.
