The South Carolina football season starts September 26th against Tennessee.

South Carolina is set to begin its college football season at the end of the month with a home matchup against the 25th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers on September 26th. The Gamecocks are still working through the installation of a new offense, sorting out position battles, and finding playmakers on both sides of the ball.

Last year, Will Muschamp and Co. limped to a 4-8 season, culminating with five losses over their final six contests. The Gamecocks fielded an offensive unit that ranked 104th nationally in scoring and 96th in total offense. Those underwhelming results led coach Muschamp to hire Mike Bobo as offensive coordinator in an attempt to turn those numbers around.

Now, South Carolina looks to improve upon those four wins, though it will be a tough task in the condensed, conference-only slate in 2020. The Gamecocks take on ten SEC opponents, five of which are positioned in the preseason top 15. As the team continues to prepare, we list five bold predictions for the upcoming season.
