South Carolina football: three most difficult games on the schedule
By Jacob Elsey
1. LSU
The Gamecocks were done no favors by the SEC schedulers as they must travel to Death Valley to take on the defending national champion LSU Tigers in the fifth game of the year. To make matters worse, the meeting is sandwiched between matchups versus No. 11 Auburn and No. 13 Texas A&M.
The Tigers will likely take a step back from what was one of the most impressive seasons in college football history, but they’re not expected to fall far. LSU was ranked sixth in the AP poll. South Carolina has won just one game in Baton Rouge since joining the SEC, an 18-17 victory in the 1994 season.
Escaping Louisiana with its third-ever win over the Tigers will be a tall task.
