Collin Hill

Hill followed new offensive coordinator Mike Bobo from Colorado State after spending four years in the play caller’s system. That familiarity with the playbook may just give Hill the nod over incumbent Ryan Hilinski.

In three seasons with the Rams, Hill threw for 3,323 yards and tossed 23 touchdowns. He was off to the best start of his career in 2019 before suffering his third major knee injury. Over his first two games and change, the signal caller racked up 840 passing yards and eight touchdowns. He eclipsed the 365-yard mark in each of his first two contests. Hill is now healthy and looking to compete for the starting job at quarterback.

Adam Prentice

Another Colorado State transfer, Prentice will fill a fullback position that hasn’t been utilized by the Gamecocks since Pat DiMarco helped South Carolina reach the SEC title game back in 2010. Prentice tallied 115 yards through the air, and another 65 on the ground in his career with the Rams.

Prentice will be asked to provide tailbacks with a lead block, as well as become a reliable safety outlet for his quarterback. The fullback may not make an impact on the stat sheet, but he’ll be an important piece to the Gamecock offense in 2020.
