South Carolina football: 5 freshmen to watch in 2020

Burch was South Carolina’s most highly touted prospect in the 2020 class. The five-star defensive line product stands 6-foot-6, weighing 275 pounds. Still, even at that size, he possesses speed and agility to get around the edge and into opposing backfields. Expected to start off at the versatile BUCK position, he’ll be able to maximize his pass rushing abilities by moving all over the field.
The roster lacks experienced depth at the position, with Brad Johnson being the only player with significant playing time. If Burch can beat out second-year player Rodricus Fitten, he should see some action in the defensive line rotation.
