DAY 2 PICKS

DJ Swearinger

Swearinger was one of the most entertaining Gamecocks in recent history. His hard-hitting presence in the back of the Carolina secondary was feared amongst foes, and hated by opposing fans. He’s set to begin his ninth NFL season, tallying 14 picks and nine forced fumbles since his being drafted in 2013.

Chris Culliver

Culliver came to South Carolina as a receiver, but left as one of the program’s best safeties. He was taken by the 49ers in the 2011 draft, where he spent the next three years. His career was cut short by injury in 2015, but Culliver did total seven picks over his first three full seasons.

Sheldon Brown

Brown is famous for one of the most vicious hits in NFL history, nearly splitting Reggie Bush in two. Brown was selected in the 2002 draft by the Eagles, and went on to an 11-year professional career. In that time, he racked up 26 interceptions and four touchdowns. He still ranks 16th on Philadelphia’s all-time picks list.

Andre Goodman

Goodman was selected just a few picks after Sheldon Brown, taken in the third round by the Lions. He played professionally from 2002 to 2011. In those 10 seasons, Goodman totaled 19 interceptions.
