All four of the 2020 South Carolina football draftees agreed to rookie contracts last week, headlined by first-round pick Javon Kinlaw.

Four Gamecocks were chosen in the 2020 NFL draft, as receiver Bryan Edwards, linebacker TJ Brunson, and defensive linemen Javon Kinlaw and DJ Wonnum were each selected in April’s seven round event.

All four have now agreed to terms on their rookie contracts. The first domino to fall was Wonnum, who inked a four-year, $4.05 million deal with the Minnesota Vikings. The all-SEC performer was selected in the fourth round of last year’s draft, and looks to make an impact on the edge of the defensive line.

Wonnum was a force on Will Muschamp’s defense for four straight seasons, totaling 137 tackles, 29.5 of which went for a loss, and 14 sacks. He was a four-year starter at the BUCK position.

Wonnum’s deal was followed by Edwards and Kinlaw’s signings. Kinlaw, a first round choice of the San Francisco 49ers, landed a four-year deal worth $15.5 million, with an $8.7 million signing bonus. Edwards, a third-round pick, agreed to terms with the Raiders. His deal is good for four years, and worth up to $4.7 million.

Kinlaw wrapped up his final season at South Carolina as an All-American, as he tied for the team lead in sacks and was a huge disruption for opposing offenses. Edwards, on the other hand, left the university as the program’s all-time leading receiver, totaling 3,045 yards and 22 touchdowns.

TJ Brunson has also agreed to his terms with the New York Giants, though the details of that contract are still unknown. He was a three-year starter in the middle of the Carolina defense, racking up 283 tackles and six sacks from his linebacker spot.
