4.  DYLAN THOMPSON COMPLETES COMEBACK VS. MICHIGAN

The Gamecocks again were in an Outback Bowl thriller in 2013, facing off against another Big 10 foe in the Michigan Wolverines.  Dylan Thompson would be the hero in a back-and-forth contest.

With the Wolverines holding a one-point fourth-quarter advantage, Thompson marched the Gamecocks down the field for one final drive.

With less than 20 seconds on the clock, the junior quarterback heaved up a prayer just before taking a shot from a rushing Wolverine defender.  The pass fell safely into the hands of receiver Bruce Ellington, who maneuvered his way through three Michigan players to cross the goal line.

South Carolina won the game 33-28, in a matchup that featured everything from a second half comeback to Jadeveon Clowney’s famous hit on running back Vincent Smith.  The Gamecocks finished with a top 10 ranking for the second straight year.
